2nd Annual Anniversary Rock Island Trail - National Trails Day

Come join Jackson County Parks + Rec as they celebrate National Trails Day and the second anniversary of both phases of the Rock Island Trail.

Stop and register at 4/5 Rock Island Trailheads to be eligible to win a number of great prizes from our sponsors.
 
To be eligible to win, participants must visit four of the following locations between 9:00 and 12:00:

-Truman Sports Complex Trailhead (hosted by BikeWalkKC),
-Railroad Street Trailhead / Crane Brewing, (hosted by Bike Stop)
-Woodson Road Trailhead (hosted by Bicycle Shack)
-98th Street Trailhead (hosted by Jackson County Parks),
-Hartman Park Trailhead (Hosted by Trek Bicycle Lees Summit and Lees Summit Parks)
 
Prizes include:
A full day pontoon rental at Lake Jacomo, Two Adult Bikes (to be awarded separately), Crane Beer and Cooler, Gift Cards, and more.
 
Other events include a Historical Tour of the Vale Tunnel and surrounding area starting at 10:30 from the 98th street Trailhead. 

The Raytown Chamber will have an informational booth at Crane from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - The League of Women Voters will be on hand to register individuals to vote and remind us of dates for absentee voting, etc.

Also, Crane Brewing will host live music, as well as a balloon artist and face painter from 12:00-4:00.
