All of us care deeply about this next generation of children, especially those who are growing up in poverty and struggling to get an education. The dream of the Caring for Kids Network is to help every child in our community to be whole, healthy and prepared for success in life. The mission of the Caring for Kids Network is to connect under-resourced Kansas City schools in partnership with the caring community around them - churches, businesses, and civic groups.
Our team works closely with the school district to facilitate and build collaborative community partnerships around the neighborhood school through a simple five-step process. There are many levels of engagement: mentoring/reading to students, providing clothing closets onsite to meet a very real need, helping with facility projects like painting and landscaping, assisting teachers, providing needed supplies, praying for the schools, and much more. The Caring for Kids Network is ready to help you connect with just the right school and one another to develop a great action plan.
Be our guest at a school partnership luncheon to learn more on August 20 at First Baptist Raytown. Dr. Allan Markley, Raytown Superintendent, and his leadership team will be there to share the great things happening and also the opportunity you have to help. Let's dream together on how we can bring hope to every child in Raytown for a bright future!
