On behalf of Sisters In Christ and the Raytown STRiVIN’ Hub, I would like to personally invite you to join us on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM for our Fall STRiVIN’ Hub Community Meeting.
A Personal Victory & Testimony
Before anything else, I want to take a moment to give God glory.
I am grateful to share that, after receiving a cancer diagnosis and undergoing surgery, my recovery is going well. I am standing today as a testimony that God is still faithful, and I am deeply grateful for every prayer, word of encouragement, and act of support.
Celebrating Team Sisters In Christ
I also want to give a tremendous shout-out to Team Sisters In Christ! Our team has worked faithfully to serve our community and make a difference.
- Summer Camp: Successfully served 58 youth.
- Monthly Food Distribution: Distributed food and resources to approximately 3,711 individuals/families to date.
- STRiVIN’ Hub: Since March, we have connected with and served approximately 384 participants to date.
These numbers represent more than statistics—they represent people, families, opportunities, and lives being transformed.
An Invitation to Join Us
Since March, the Strivin’ Hub has continued to be a place of connection, resources, opportunity, and transformation for individuals and families throughout Raytown. We are excited to come together to share what is happening in Raytown this fall, celebrate our collective accomplishments, and look ahead to what we can accomplish together.
We are honored to have community leadership and partners joining us for this important conversation, including:
- Mayor Mike McDonough
- Chief Bob Kuehl, Raytown Police Department
- Alderman Loretha Hayden
- Alderman Bonnaye Mims
- Deputy Director Dawna Shumate
- Commissioner Larry Beatty
- Dr. Madelyn Douglas, School Board
- Raytown Pastors, Businesses, Community Partners, and Leaders
Our goal is to hear what is happening across Raytown, identify the needs and opportunities before us, and strengthen the partnerships necessary to continue moving our community forward.
We look forward to seeing you, sharing our progress, hearing from our community leaders, and continuing to STRIVE together for a stronger Raytown.
We sincerely hope you will be able to join us and share your perspective with our community.
Warmly,
Carolyn Whitney
