Marijuana in Missouri - Are Employers Ready for Change?
On November 8, 2022, Missouri voters approved Amendment 3, amending Section 1 of Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution. Amendment 3 legalizes personal use of marijuana (also known as cannabis) by adults 21 and older, allows individuals to petition for release from prison, expunge certain arrests and conviction records of non-violent marijuana offenses, and enacts a 6 percent tax on retail price of recreational marijuana.
Amendment 3 has notable legal changes for Missouri employers. This session will answer the top questions from Missouri employers about how the legalization of recreational marijuana may impact your business including - drug testing, background checks, managing your workforce, and more!
Attorney at Law, Lauren Sobaski with Fisher & Phillips, LLP will join us again to go over these changes. Lauren presented to us in 2019 after Medical Marijuana passed.
