The Raytown Police Department will be hosting free CERT training, beginning April 2, 2019. The training provides an excellent opportunity to learn about preparing yourself and your family for a variety of emergencies and disasters that could affect our community. Training includes basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. The program culminates with a mock disaster exercise where the participants put CERT skills to use. Participants must be 17 years old, or older and will be required to complete an enrollment form and a background check. Classes will be held on: Tuesday, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 2019: 6:00 pm to 9 pm--Raytown FD Station 1-6020 Raytown Traffic way Thursday, April 4, 11, 18, 25, 2019: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm--Raytown FD Station 1-6020 Raytown Traffic way Saturday, April 27, 2019: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm—Hands on Final, location to be decided.
