Join us for the 20th Annual Raytown MLK Celebration!

This will be a great event featuring: Keynote speaker Cheryl Brown Henderson, President of the Brown Foundation (from the landmark Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court case).

The Raytown South High School Jazz Band and Cardinal Chorale as will the Raytown South Middle School Jazz Band provide pre-celebration music. Mayor Michael McDonough will offer a proclamation. We will award the winners of the 5th annual MLK Today Essay Contest! This year, 3,758 students submitted essays!! Hear the top winner from Elementary School, Middle School and High School categories!

We'll also have the opportunity to help our community with a free-will offering to support the Raytown Emergency Assistance Program and Jubilee House, a refugee resettlement home in Raytown!
