In anticipation of the election on April 4, the League of Women Voters of Kansas City/Jackson-Clay- Platte Counties (LWVKC/JCP) and the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in a virtual Candidate Forum via Zoom for Raytown School Board on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 6:30 pm. The forum will be live streamed on Zoom and the recording posted on lwvkc.org, Vote411.org and the @LWVKC YouTube channel.

Forums last approximately 90 minutes. The moderator will ask each candidate the same question, selecting from those submitted by the public to: tinyurl.com/LWVKCForumQuestions. The order of candidate responses will be determined by random rotation. Each candidate will be given 90 seconds to respond to each question and two minutes for a closing statement. 

LWVKC/JCP is a nonpartisan educational organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. The LWVKC/JCP never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties. In 2022, our League moderated 29 candidate forums and found post-forum viewing on YouTube especially popular.

The board of education is a volunteer representative body elected by the registered voters of the local public school district. The board governs the school district and provides leadership and advocacy for public education.
